Summer With the Kids

Here is Hunter relaxing on his play mat after an evening bath. He seems to really enjoy water, which we like since his sister will be dragging him to the beach every day when they are old enough to go together.

Had to include this one... it looks like one of those tv commercials that makes you sentimental.

We took the kids to Sea World. This is quite possibly Hannah's favorite place to go in San Diego right now. She was all fired up to see the Sesame Street characters until she got up close. Furry creatures up close can be intimidating.

Our kids hanging out on the floor on a sunny afternoon.

I caught Hunter smiling the other day. He loves to smile, especially when he sees Hannah.

Birthday Pancakes!

A satisfied pancake eater.

Hannah had her birthday party and we rented the bounce castle again. She loves it. We should probably just invest in one and leave it up year round.

Her stylish dismount from the bounce castle...

Newest Addition to the Family

We are very happy to introduce Hunter Wolfgang Krieg! He was born on June 2, 2010 at 9:14pm. At birth he weighed 8lb 7oz and was 20 1/4 inches long. Hunter is a very mellow boy and he already enjoys spending time with his big sister, Hannah. She is an extremely helpful and loving big sister. Thank you to all of the warm wishes from friends and family, especially Nana and Papa who helped take care of Hannah for the past month.

A Day In The Desert

Hannah and her future little brother posing in front of a yucca plant. The desert is beginning to bloom and the tips of the yucca plant have reddish flowers. You can't see them here, but the flowers are never the focus on this blog anyway.

Hannah with one of her favorite toys, a stick. Whenever we are outside, she must have at least one stick at all times.

A close up of the stick for all to enjoy...

She likes trying on Daddy's sunglasses but doesn't like wearing the identical kid-sized pair we bought for her. Hopefully, she will want to wear them soon enough.

Getting To Be A Big Girl

Hannah enjoys taking showers in addition to baths. She likes to drink the water and also likes to turn around and have it massage her back. This is mid-dance. It's the little things in life that make Hannah happy.

We went to the zoo last week and this young gorilla took a liking to Hannah. At first, we thought it was the chicken nugget, but the gorilla was enjoying having another little one to interact with. The gorilla spent quite a bit of time trying to get Hannah to play with her. Then mother gorilla put an end to the fun and made her head down to where the other gorillas were hanging out. Once in a lifetime photo opportunity.

Here is our big girl all snuggly in her sleeping bag that Nana and Papa had stashed away since Isabella was Hannah's age. She loves to climb inside and enjoy a show.

Here is Hannah enjoying either Madagascar, an animal video, or a Jack's Big Music Show episode. We like her to mellow out in the evenings before bedtime. It seems to be working.

Happy February!

Stephen and I went to a Sabres/Ducks game a couple of weeks ago.

Hannah enjoying a movie to relax before bedtime.

Aunt Michelle made these lovely slippers for our little lady. She loves them and wears them around the house a great deal. Thank you, Michelle.

Here she is showing off her new slippers.

Hannah building a tower out of Legos, a very developmental 2.5 yr old activity. We are very proud of what she can do! She surprises us everyday.

End of 2009 Photos

Hannah is enjoying Santa's sleigh at Sea World. She is not a fan of Santa in person, so this worked out nicely.

One of the three rides at Sea World for little guys. This one is called "Elmo's Flying Fish". She liked it, as you can see.

Hannah enjoying petting a sheep at the Zoo.

In a haze before passing out for her afternoon nap.
