Summer Time At The Zoo

Hannah was extremely pleased to be able to sit on top of this prehistoric elephant. At the Elephant Odyssey, the new exhibit at the zoo, there is a section of animal statues. They are animals that existed on the North American continent many years ago.

One of Hannah's favorite activities at the zoo is to ride the skyfari. She loves to look around at the exhibits as we pass over them. At certain points you can see the pandas and the gorillas.

Our future dentist was thorough in checking the teeth of this large prehistoric cat.

Someone got her learner's permit! Okay, maybe not, but we do like Hannah's choice in friends. She kept patting the shotgun passenger on the head, reassuring him that she is a careful driver.

Hannah is very concerned about the nutritional intake of the goats in the petting zoo. She makes sure that the goat she has chosen gets plenty of hay to eat. The specially chosen goat is extremely pleased to have such care and attention.

Getting Bigger All The Time

Last Wednesday, we went to the Lake Elsinore Storm baseball game. They are the Single-A affiliate of the Padres. As you can see, we had pretty good seats. Hannah loved being close to the action. She ate a pretzel, clapped a great deal, and generally had a great time. The only part she didn't like was the mascot, Thunder. She is wary of large, furry animals that ride up on quads and then jump off at home plate and dance to loud music.

Stephen took Hannah to Del Mar today. There is a new playground above the beach on the cliffs by the train station. He said it was a beautifully clear morning.

Hannah loves to go to the park above Miramar Lake with Nana and Papa. One of her passions is to swing for a considerable stretch of time. It has a lovely view of the lake and on a clear day, you can see all the way to the ocean.

Here is a typical breakfast for Hannah. She loves pancakes, waffles, french toast, and practically any other sweet breakfast treat. This pancake is as big as her head, but she attacked it quite well.

Typical Days With Hannah

Here is our very well fed young lady relaxing after dinner. As you can see by her shirt, she does not always hit her target when she is in a feeding frenzy. She does do well with a spoon and a fork.

We took down the gate at the top of the stairs because Hannah has learned how to safely go up and down the stairs. She is very proud of herself, as you can see here.

Hannah has learned to cook! Just kidding. She does like to pretend to clean out the kitchen and cook items on the stove top.

Daddy and Hannah are relaxing on a "May Gray" afternoon. She has become quite the snuggler.
