More Hannah...

"Am I riding an elephant?"

"I am riding an elephant! This is awesome!"
We discovered there is a carousel in the Parkway Plaza mall off of the I-8. Hannah was extremely excited and even wanted to go again. A first in carousel riding. I think this one was much slower than the one at Balboa Park.

Great Papa would have been proud of Hannah! She is "flossing" after lunch at Phil's BBQ. No, we did not let her chew on a sharp piece of wood. We only let her have it for the photo.

Three Water Lovers

When I picked up Hannah from Nana and Papa's house this afternoon, she and the dogs asked if they could go in the water. So, we stripped down the little lady and let her run around in the sprinklers with Reina and Shadow. She finds them extremely amusing. Most of the time, she tries to drink the water and then fill up her watering can so she can properly water the backyard.

Here is a picture my parents took of the three of us at the Padres game. Hard to believe she could sleep through all of the noise, but I guess when a kid is passed out, they are truly passed out!

What is with the heat?

102 degrees in Santee? 100 degrees in my classroom today? What is going on!

Stephen took Hannah to Torrey Pines State Beach this morning to escape the heat. She is really enjoying her time at the beach. Hannah loves to walk on the sand, play in the water, and chase around the birds and squirrels. Yes, beach squirrels. They must enjoy the lunches packed by the many visitors to our fine city.

Hannah is also taking well to the pool. She loves to get into a flotation device Stephen bought for her when she was very young. It has a cover so that she is in the shade while she is hanging out in the water. Stephen has taught her to kick, so she propels herself around the pool. We will work on taking pictures so that everyone can see her in all of her swimming glory.

More pictures of Hannah

Here is our philosophical young lady at La Jolla Cove. She loves the ocean and we suspect we will be spending a great deal of time there in the next few years.

Here is Hannah at the Scripps Aquarium in La Jolla. She loves to try and read all of the signs. She said "octopus" in her own special way on this day. It was awesome!

We have been taking Hannah to the SD Zoo and the SD Wild Animal Park quite a bit. She really enjoys walking around and looking at all of the animals. Stephen and Hannah are on the trail to Condor Ridge.

Hello Friends and Family!

Here is Hannah running around in La Jolla. She tends to be very silly when it comes to getting her picture taken. You might be seeing a great deal of this face.

Hannah loves to cuddle before she goes to bed each night. Here she and Stephen are snuggling on our bed while she winds down with an animals video.

Hannah is becoming more interested in coloring. However, it seems that we do the majority of the coloring and she just puts on the finishing touches.

Here is our "official" Easter photo. Thank you to Grandma Krieg for the pretty dress!

Seeing as how other people need to enjoy the lovely young lady, Hannah, we thought this would be the best way of going about doing so. It is Easter evening and we just finished a big day with Nana and Papa at Petco Park watching the Padres sweep the Giants. She enjoyed playing in the sandbox just beyond centerfield and then passed out on Daddy during the last four innings.

Everyone is doing well. Stephen starts back on nights tonight for three months. I only have a few more weeks of teaching left before summer. Hannah has only three months until the "Big 2".

Here are some new pictures of our little lady. She is growing up so fast. She has new words for us every day now. Today she said "home" when we pulled in the garage.

Hope all is well and that you enjoy the blog.
